Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend the appointment for any reason, please notify my secretary at 0203 282 0566 to cancel and provide at least 24 working hours’ notice. If you call out of hours, our friendly ‘out of hours’ team will be able to take a message and pass it on to my PA.
A cancellation fee of £100 will be charged if an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. This fee covers room hire and other costs incurred, even if your child does not attend the appointment.
Please note that insurance companies do not cover cancellation fees.
Insurance
Additional investigations such as medication, blood tests, ECGs, X-rays, and MRI Brain carry an extra charge, payable directly to the individual hospital.
Terms and Conditions
You must be one of the following to request the assessment: the parent with parental responsibility, the legal carer, or someone with permission from the child’s parent or legal carer.
In the event of a dispute in parental opinions about the child’s referral process, you must inform Dr. Kukendrarajah’s team as soon as possible. The responsibility for resolving such disputes lies with the parents, not the clinician.
The fee displayed on the website is for standard assessments. More advanced assessments may incur higher fees, and the fee plan on the website is subject to change.
Before commencing the assessment, we will provide you with an estimated fee based on the agreed-upon assessment type. This fee covers the clinician’s professional fee, processing and reading of relevant pre-assessment information, the actual assessment, reading of other reports, and analysis of questionnaires and report writing.
As part of the assessment team, we collaborate with other professionals who may carry out different components of the broader assessment, such as doctors, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and educational psychologists. The information gathered may be shared with necessary partners and associates with your consent.
The overall assessment cost depends on various factors, including the complexity of presentation.
The professional fee does not include the cost of blood tests and other additional investigations recommended by the doctor.
For self-paid assessments, prompt payment to the service is required, preferably within 24 hours of the assessment.
If you wish to cancel or reschedule, you must submit either a written request or call to my PA at least 48 hours before the confirmed appointment.
Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in a cancellation fee, which is not covered by insurance.
Failure to attend the agreed appointment will be considered a cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice and will result in a cancellation fee. Insurance policies do not cover the cost of non-attendance.
In the unlikely event that a clinician has to cancel an appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, there will be no cancellation fee for the parent/carer to pay. The clinician will offer the next available appointment and provide the option of a refund for any fees paid. If a partial assessment has already been carried out (such as analysis of pre-assessment questionnaires/information), the clinician reserves the right to claim a partial assessment fee.
In case of a dispute regarding the assessment outcome, you are still required to pay the assessment fee in full. We encourage you to engage in dialogue with the clinician to seek a resolution promptly.
If non-payment (full or partial) occurs, we reserve the right to claim the assessment fee using necessary channels, including a debt collection agency.
If any safeguarding concerns arise regarding the child, you give Dr. Kukendrarajah’s team permission to share the child’s information with relevant professionals.
