Professional Fees

What’s included in my fee:

A neurodevelopmental paediatric consultation follows a holistic approach. For new patients, appointments typically last 60-90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the case. More complex consultations might require additional time. Routine child development appointments for children under 2 years will usually take around 45 minutes.

During the consultation, I will gather qualitative information about your child’s neurodevelopmental profile. I will also conduct a thorough history, perform an examination, and make informal observations of your child. I will discuss my diagnosis or working diagnosis with you, explain any necessary tests and assessments, and request information or reports from other relevant agencies (such as nurseries, schools, and professionals). If needed, follow-up appointments may be recommended.

With your consent, I will send you a letter summarising our discussion. If you would like a copy of this shared with your General Practitioner (GP), please let my PA know.

These fees cover the pre-reading of relevant materials and reasonable communication through email or telephone to clarify any points discussed during the consultation, including informing you of test results.

Additional Fees:

  • Private prescription (outside an appointment): £50 per prescription; please provide at least 2 weeks’ notice for repeat prescriptions. Prescriptions required during the consultation will be included in your appointment fee.
  • To whom it may concern report and adhoc school report: £200.00
  • A prolonged or complex consultation, requiring extra work before or after the appointment, may incur an additional charge of £50 (or more in exceptional cases). This includes scoring and analyzing questionnaires and reading various reports.
  • Late cancellation or Non-Attendance: £100

Note: If you are unable to attend the appointment, please call my secretary at 0203 282 7287 to cancel, providing at least 48 WORKING HOURS notice. A £50 fee will be charged for appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled clinic date, if the slot cannot be reallocated. This fee covers room hire and other associated costs.

My fees do not cover the cost of tests or prescriptions, as those will be invoiced directly by the hospital.

For Insured Patients:

Private healthcare insurance is not mandatory to see me, but if you have UK insurance, you’ll likely need a referral from your GP.

Before our appointment, please discuss it with your insurance company and ensure you have an up-to-date authorisation number. While I am recognised by most health insurance companies, please check your policy for any specific exclusions related to developmental or behavioural problems. Although they might cover the initial assessment, they may not always cover the entire appointment cost. Be aware of any excess payable according to your policy.

Please inform my PA in advance if your policy has an excess, as you’ll need to settle this directly with my PA. Failure to do so may result in an additional administration fee of £25.

Terms and Conditions of Payment:

Payments can be made over the phone or through a link sent via email. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is required upfront during the booking process.
